UAAM collaborates with the Ukrainian Bandurist Chorus to catalog their archives, including items dating from the early 1920s.
Partnership with the Ukrainian Bandurist Chorus
Since 2019, UAAM has worked with the Ukrainian Bandurist Chorus (UBC) and archivist Mykola Murskyj to consolidate and catalog the UBC archives. A team of researchers, graduate students and interns are dedicated to the papers dating back to the early 1920s. The papers of William (Vasyl) Czymbal, the first US manager designated to the UBC in 1949-1950 are held at the UAAM. Mr. Czymbal helped organize the first tours of the UBC in North America.
